Visions of Sugar Grapes

I don't know what you've been shown. I don't know what God has placed on your heart. But I do know that there are times that God will give us a preview as to what is or what could come.

I truly believe many of us could have our very own Promise Land. I also believe God has given many of us glimpses into what could be our Promise Land. I say this because as MLK once said, "I've seen the Promised Land." I have seen what my Promise Land can be because I see others living in it.

They aren't living in my Promised Land per se, but they have reached a level that God has shown me is possible for me. Plus, I know they are no more blessed or chosen than I am. I also have confirmation that I received through fasting and repetitive hints from heaven-as I like to call them. So, I have seen my Promised Land.

Have you seen yours? I love how God told both Abram (Abraham) and Moses to walk through the land that He promised to give them. It was merely a preview, a way to get His people excited, as to what was to come.

Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

(Genesis 13:17 NIV)

The Lord said to Moses, “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.”

(Numbers 13:1-2 NIV)

When Moses' crew came back from their exploration, they came back with clusters of grapes so huge that it took two men to carry it between them on a pole. That's the kind of abundant fruit God had in store for them. The grapes were just a preview as to what was to come.

But as the people saw the grapes, they also saw the giants in the land. They saw the mighty warriors and the fortified walls. So, although they saw the Promised Land, they didn't think they could attain it. It seemed impossible. With the clusters in their hands, they said it was unattainable.

Like the old Christmas song says, some of you have visions of sugarplums (or I'd like to say visions of sugar-grapes) dancing in your heads. But you may think the ability to materialize those grapes into reality is impossible. And unfortunately, those grapes will never make it to your hands or mouth if you don't believe God when He tells you He has given you the land. But how do you know God has given or will give you the land?

You'll know it's yours if God led you to it.

The sugar grapes that dance in some of your heads only dance because God placed them there. That would mean your dream is a God dream. A God dream is a dream or desire that God placed in your heart. The Israelites would've never desired the Promised Land if God wouldn't have shown them the land. They would've never desired those grapes if God hadn't of told them to go bring back fruit from the land.

I encourage you to go back and think about where your desires came from. Ask God to reveal to you if your dream is a dream that He placed in your heart. If it is, praise God! If it's God-given, nothing can stop you from entering your Promised Land if you have the faith to take it.

A God dream has no choice but to come to past if you get on board with it becoming a reality. I'll pray for your confirmation. I'll ask that God allows you to see, taste, or touch grapes from your Promised Land, that He'll give you a personalized preview, if your dream is a God dream.

This article may not be for everyone. As I stated in the beginning, I don't know what God has or has not shown you. But for those of you who this is for, I pray you receive it and that the sugar grapes that dance in your head motivate you. That they'll push you to complete the work that God has begun in you.

Cheers to our sugar grapes! God bless the day that we can eat from the fruit of our land. May our clusters be as large and luscious as those that were previewed in the Israelites' Promised Land.

That's all I have for you this week, guys. Same time, same place next Wednesday, if the Lord says the same.

Be blessed!
