Ultrasound

Man, I tell you. There are so many revelations we receive when we follow Christ. We learn about the depths of God’s love and mercy. We learn how to live and how we should conduct ourselves. We learn of God’s power and how He champions over any and everything.

But I never knew that the more you learn of God, the more you learn of yourself.

My personal testimony was learning that I was a writer and author. I had absolutely no clue that this was a part of me. I remember when I went to Him in 2020. I went because I was lost… out of desperation and uncertainty. My spiritual being was suffering, and I needed a renewal. Praise God He renewed me!

And while I was under God’s care for healing, He gave me an ultrasound. He showed me what was within me. God revealed a hidden quality that swirled within me that I knew nothing about. I stood in awe at this discovery. Shocked that something so precious laid dormant in me without my knowledge.

He had (has!) plans that I never could’ve dreamed of. When we look at the testimony of people in the Bible, we see that God frequently showed people that there was more in them than they knew. Saul, though he was from a tribe that was the least of the Israelites, was called to be king (1 Samuel 9:21).

David, though he was only a shepherd boy and overlooked by his family, was called to be king. Might I add here that sometimes others won’t see what God has in you. God chose David, but no one saw it initially—not even the Prophet Samuel. Only when God confirmed to Samuel, the family, and eventually the entire nation, was David recognized as the anointed king.

It’s okay if no one else believes that you are impregnated with God’s purpose. It’s fine if no one sees the anointing, the calling, or the vision. Because sometimes, God only shows you the ultrasound. Sometimes you are walking amongst others with life in your womb that only God confirmed. Perhaps it's too early in the pregnancy for others to see what God has inside of you.

But rest assure, when the time is right, you will show. Others will see what God placed inside of you and you will be blessed by the fruit of your womb. Joesph is another who didn’t know he was purposed to be 2nd in command of Egypt. Gideon was called a mighty warrior of valor, and his response was, “Pardon me?” (Judges 6:15). That mighty warrior was on the inside of him, but he had no clue.

How about Esther being called to be Queen? She didn’t know that was her calling—especially since there was already a queen on the throne. Little did she know that queen would be dethroned and she would be exalted.

I wonder what’s inside you? What could possibly be on your ultrasound that may've gone undetected? The only way to discover the unknown that lays within you is by seeking God. Our identity is found in Christ. Our strengths, our purpose, our calling... it is all under the shadow of the Almighty.

We’ll never truly discover ourselves until we discover Christ. So, it is in our best interest to seek God. Yet, please know that it is common that God’s ultrasound shows you both the good and the bad within you. He will undoubtably point out tumorous sins and ungodly ways that are within us as well.

Do not hesitate to correct the bad within you that God reveals. Likewise, do not hesitate to accept the fruitfulness that God shows you. He knows more about us than we will ever know about ourselves. He knew us before we entered our mother’s wombs.

No one knows you like God because no one created you but God. Therefore, no one can accurately tell you what lies within you besides God. Only the preparer of a meal can tell you the meal’s exact ingredients. And since God is the preparer of you, only ask God what you are made of. Only He can reveal what’s within you.

That’s all for today folks! Have a wonderful day and week. Be blessed!

I love ❤️ this. This read has opened up something in me, I never thought I was a Sunday school teacher, but I'm teaching Sunday school now. I also need to spend time with God and as Him to show me what else He has for me and prepare me to receive it. Thank you again 💓
